Ingredients
- 2 TenderBites BBQ Chops (about 300–400g total)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or calamansi juice
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley or spring onions, for garnish
Meat You'll Need
Preparation
- Prep the pork chops – Pat the BBQ Chops dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the meat – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until nicely browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Make the glaze – In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Stir in honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Glaze the chops – Return the pork chops to the pan, coating them evenly with the glaze. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce caramelizes beautifully on the meat.
- Serve – Transfer to a plate, spoon the remaining glaze on top, and sprinkle with parsley or spring onions before serving.
Cooking Tips
Improve your breaded pork chop recipe with some cooking secrets from TenderBites.
- Don’t Overcrowd the Pan: Cook in batches if needed so the pork chops sear properly and develop a good crust.
- Control the Heat: Keep the glaze on medium heat to avoid burning the honey.
- Add a Kick: For a spicy twist, add a dash of chili flakes or a squeeze of sriracha to the glaze.
- Serving Suggestion: Serve with steamed rice, buttered corn, or sautéed green beans for a complete meal.
